THE ASSOCIATION OF CONSULTING ENGINEERS OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA:
• starting from large importance of transport and transport infrastructure, roads especially, for the citizens and the economy,
• aware of the road safety increase importance,
• knowing the large impact of transport on climate changes,
• starting from the Basis for Common Transport Policy of the European Union and current activities on road infrastructure development in B&H,

is organising the THIRD B&H CONGRESS ON ROADS

Bosnia and Herzegovina is on the way of accelerated development of the road infrastructure, especially motorways and expressways.

In order to reach the development level of motorways in EU-27 from 2010, B&H needs to have 850kms of motorways. At the end of 2011, we know that B&H has around 70kms of motorways in total. A large attention is given to the motorway in Pan-European Corridor Vc. The results of completed Feasibility Study, accepted by competent institutions of the State and international financial institutions, indicated a big social-economic cost-effectiveness of this Project, the largest infrastructure one for B&H in this decade.

Spatial plans of Entities have foreseen the area for construction of more than 1.500kms of motorways and expressways.

Holding the Third B&H Congress on Roads is the opportunity to analyse the present problems over professional papers in all aspects of road transport system development in Bosnia and Herzegovina and its surroundings at the time of intensive construction of motorways in B&H.

THE THIRD BIH CONGRESS ON ROADS HAS THE AIM TO:

• create waymarks for new strategies in development of road infrastructure,
• point out on possible new technical solutions,
• inform the State institutions with opinions of experts,
• create more responsible relation to the sustainable development of road transport system.

THE THIRD B&H CONGRESS ON ROADS is the international congress. Environmental protection, new systems of road management, new materials in construction and maintenance, innovations in designing, standardisation and financing are the topics, which are interesting for experts of various profiles, investors, public administration, economy, as well as for general public.
